Chew
Christopher Chew (Artistic
Director) Chris is currently appearing as Gaston in Beauty
and the Beast at Wheelock Family Theatre. In the past
year, Chris has appeared in 1776, Better Off Dead, and
A Little Princess. Chris’ other credits
include Johnny Guitar and Kiss of the Spiderwoman (SpeakEasy);
A Little Night Music, Sunday in the Park With George,
The Spitfire Grill (Lyric Stage); and Lizzie
Borden (Stoneham Theatre). Chris was the recipient
of the 2005 IRNE Best Actor Award. In addition to sharing
artistic leadership of Village Theatre Project, Chris
directed the VTP Young Company’s A Christmas
Carol and is co-directing Children of Eden, coming
in February, as well as teaches our REP program. Chris
received a BFA from Carnegie Mellon School of Drama
and an MA in Teaching from Fitchburg State College,
and currently teaches drama for Tyngsboro Schools. (1/15/07)
